Yunnan Cancer Hospital completed the first KangDuo Robot assisted partial lobectomy

Recently, KangDuo Robot abdominal endoscopic surgery system (hereinafter referred to as "KangDuo Robot"), a product of Sagebot was used by the medical team of Prof. Yunchao Huang and Prof. Zhonghui Wang of Department of anesthesiology of Thoracic Surgery Department of Yunnan Cancer Hospital, successfully completed the first KangDuo robot-assisted partial lobotomy of the hospital.

This is also the first thoracic surgery performed by domestic KangDuo Robot in Southwest China, which further verifies the safety and effectiveness of KangDuo Robot in the field of thoracic surgery. At the same time, it indicates that KangDuo robot is being carried out regularly in multi-department operations. The highly difficult thoracic surgery was successfully completed, proving the core strength of KangDuo robot

After the patient was admitted to hospital, after comprehensive discussion and analysis, the medical team of Professor Huang Yunchao and Professor Wang Zhonghui formulated a detailed surgical plan for the patient: domestic KangDuo Robot assisted partial lobectomy.

After the operation began, Prof. Yunchao Huang clearly located the wiring between normal lung tissue and diseased lung tissue according to the HD 3D field of vision with 10-15 times magnification provided by the open surgeon console of the KangDuo Robot. At the same time, with the help of multi-degree of freedom surgical instruments, the hilar vessels were accurately free, and normal lung tissue was preserved as far as possible on the premise of tumor resection, overcoming the disadvantages of traditional surgery which required the removal of a considerable part of normal lung tissue.
